Bill Chadwick

Bill Chadwick has 40 years of experience in virtually every aspect of institutional real estate development and asset management. He began his career as an attorney representing investment managers and pension funds; drafted portions of ERISA and its underlying regulations for both the U.S. Treasury and Labor Departments; founded and was president of a noted real estate investment banking and advisory firm.

Since 1985 Mr. Chadwick has been Co-Founder & Managing Director or Chairman of: Chadwick Saylor & Co., Real Estate Investment Banking & Advisory; CS Securities, a Broker-Dealer; Chadwick, Saylor Realty, a real estate broker; and Storage Spot, a developer and owner of real estate.

From 1973-74 and 1977-1985 Mr. Chadwick was a Partner & Chairman of Tax Department of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker, a Los Angeles based law firm. In 1974-75 he was Attorney-Adviser for Tax Policy, U.S. Department of the Treasury. In 1975 he was appointed by President Ford to be the Administrator, Pension & Welfare Benefit Programs, U.S. Department of Labor where he served through 1977.

Mr. Chadwick authored Regulation of Employee Benefits (IFEBP Press) 1978 and The Annotated Fiduciary (IFEBP Press) 1979. He has also written over 150 book chapters and articles for professional journals on taxation, fiduciary responsibility and investment law.

From 1977-1983 Mr. Chadwick was a Director of the International foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, a trade association of Taft-Hartley Pension funds. He served as Chairman, President and Member of the Executive Committee of the Pension Real Estate Association from 1983-88.

He has been Director, 1999 to present ,of Exposition Park & California Science Center Board by appointment of Governors Davis, Schwarzenegger and Brown, Chairman 2002-04, 2007-08; Commissioner, 2002 to present of the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum Commission, President, 2005. He was President, Malibu Beach Homeowners’ Association 1987-1997.

He holds FINRA 7, 24, and 63 licenses.

Mr. Chadwick received a BA from St. Lawrence University and a J.D from Vanderbilt University School of Law.
