Cypress Sea Cove, Malibu, CA
Cypress Sea Cove
Cypress Sea Cove is Malibu's premier photo, film, event, and wedding location site since 1976. Two acres of manicured lawn, flower gardens, and towering Monterey Cypress trees surround a nautical, storybook Victorian home. There is a private, tropical sandy beach cove and party area. The beach cove, with its bamboo cabanas, is dotted with majestic palm trees and tropical landscaping. A Caribbean beach bar overlooks a wide sandy beach with picturesque rock cropping rising out of the sea. Cypress Sea Cove is one of the most historic gathering places of the Southern California surfing beach culture. It's where Marilyn Monroe attended "Gidget" beach parties and where many Baywatch TV shows were filmed, including the Beach Boy's "Baywatch" special. Today the Cove tradition continues with Heidi Klum's 2013 beach calendar, and ESPN's beach comedy shorts filmed here. Cypress Sea Cove is a New York Times pick as one of the best wedding locations in the U.S.
